This is the ending where you make a bunch of Chinese soldiers appear and start shooting at everyone, yet it’s considered the ‘good’ ending for some reason.

For the record: It’s considered the good ending because the subjects are actually dead. He can’t revive them to continue torturing them. You basically saved them from a literal eternity of torture.

It’s considered the good ending because these poor people who have been tortured for centuries finally get to rest. They had no way of being removed from the pods because their bodies had already decayed to the point that they were only still alive because the pod kept them alive. I’m sorry but if your only choice is death or continue to be the puppet of a psychopath who thinks people ought to suffer in repeated murder simulations, I’d say triggering the failsafe is definitely the good ending.
