They embraced “fascist” a looong time ago. Most of the time they use it when they really mean “nazi”. But they don’t like to use the word “nazi” because it’s short for “national socialist”.
Ah, the Trump presidency. If nothing else it will be remembered as the time in which the left embraced a bunch of buzzwords like “despot”, “whataboutism”, “fascist” and “fake news”.
@LegatusFlagrans
Really? So the election we just had where the Democrats won the house was just a mirage? Democracy burnt to the ground, eh? And I see that women are chained barefoot in their kitchens now. Or not. Marginalized Asians might actually be allowed in Harvard now. Wow, such racism. As for the poor, we have the lowest unemployment in decades. Must be terrible that those poor people are becoming less poor as wages rise due to demand for labor being higher than supply. We should probably let in a couple million third worlders from South America to drive down those wages. Instead of building a wall and forcing industry to pay market wages to their employees. But Trump lies about stupid shit, so everything he’s actually done doesn’t matter. We should judge him on his words instead of his actions.
@Flummoxed Phoenix
I disagree with your observation that Trump was a better option than Hillary. Certainly not for women, marginalized people, and those in poverty. As far as the media having lied about Trump, it’s honestly hard to look at anything he’s doing now and say that. He’s nothing but a pathologically lying, self-styled despot who would burn every last vestige of democracy to the ground given the chance. And if you can’t see that, you’re not paying attention.
@LegatusFlagrans
You disagree that the media lied about Bernie and Trump? It’s a fact. You are entitled to your own opinion, you are not entitled to your own facts.
@Flummoxed Phoenix
Have to agree there, not american but I’m glad Trump was elected instead of Hillary.
When someones campaign involves being the “meme queen” and to “pokemon go to the polls”, you know a person like that shouldn’t be president.
@LegatusFlagrans
No, I noticed how much the media lied about Bernie, so when he got screwed I paid attention to what they were saying about Trump and saw the same kind of lies. After that, I found out what Trump was actually about and agreed enough with him that screwing over Hillary was a huge cherry on a decent cake. Is Trump the best guy ever? No. Is he head and shoulders better than Hillary. Yes.
@Background Pony #61C3
Ever since the Democrats stole the election from Bernie, I’ve been voting Republican and am very happy with the effect.
Oh, I see, you’re one of the people who voted Bernie solely because he was anti-establishment and then voted Trump just to spite the country when he was screwed, is that it?
You’d rather screw over marginalized and impoverished people than at the very least keep the status quo?
@Background Pony #AA5A
Ok I’ll bite. Which politician voted against the people who voted him/her in and swayed the election in favor of the other party.
@Background Pony #FB13
The will of 2 868 686 people whose votes didn’t end up mattering in 2016. 2 868 686 more people wanted Clinton over Trump, but that didn’t happen, did it?
@NightStalker
The electoral college is one of those things that could be voted out of existence,
because it’s outdated and stupid, and allows for this ‘tyranny of the minority’ that we’re currently stuck with,
polticians in charge that do not follow the will of most of the citizens.
But yes, with the stupid electoral college, we need to put in more votes to counter that.
We need to put in more votes to counter malicious and shitty tricks to keep some from voting,
like being picky about signatures or demanding a provisional ballot or whatever else.
The more we vote, the more likely we can fix the system!
Primaries earlier in the year are where we get to choose who best represents us within a party.
Elections are when we must choose between those who win the primaries,
and we must pick whoever is best, because not voting means allowing someone to win still.
@Amethyst_Crystal
I always vote. However when there are no good candidates, I cast an invalid vote. This way politicians can see that I I badly want to vote but there’s no one to vote for. This might get them thinking “huh, we can get this guy to vote on us; how do we do it?”.

Facts
I dont recall that bible quote
Don’t forget “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other”

Fair enough. I respect that.
Ever since the Democrats stole the election from Bernie, I’ve been voting Republican and am very happy with the effect.
Who for? If you dont mind me asking.
Ok I’ll bite. Which politician voted against the people who voted him/her in and swayed the election in favor of the other party.
I’d hold my breath but I’m not suicidal.
Consent -> Acceptance
Will -> Intention
Big difference. If you consent, you are merely accepting your government’s actions.
You know he is right.
That was the second time in this century and once again the reps benefited from it.
Oh take your non-sequiturs somewhere else.

Seems like they do. No presidential election has been swayed by a politician who voted against the will of the people.

Also, here’s a good summary of elections vs. primaries:
Primaries earlier in the year are where we get to choose who best represents us within a party.
Elections are when we must choose between those who win the primaries,
and we must pick whoever is best, because not voting means allowing someone to win still.

I’m not from US BTW.
Not sure what you’re trying to get at here.
