Say hello to the mascot of Project Saffron - Saffron Showers!
 
We created Saffron Showers as a gift to the Indian brony community to become a symbol of the diversity and heritage of the nation. Of course, if there is already a pre-existing pony mascot of India, we would love to see her too, so please do let us know if you find one!
 
Born in Coltcutta, Saffron Showers was the youngest of two children. She was not the best cook in the town. However, her talent was in her sense of taste and smell. She had the ability to pick the best spices and herbs to prepare curry that will invigorate your senses and become the centrepiece of any potluck party - as long as she’s not the one doing the cooking.
 
Her cutie mark is three Saffron Crocus flowers. She earned it one morning when she was in the marketplace with her brother. Her distinguished sense of smell alerted her to when her brother was about to be cheated into buying fake saffron. Advising her brother against it was not easy for her but to save her brother from being cheated of quite a sum of money, she voiced out.
 
Saffron Showers is also known for her happy, positive and energetic spirit that makes her the life of the party and what she lacks in the culinary arts, she makes up in her hyper-organised attention to detail. She works as a caterer and wedding planner in her hometown of Coltcutta, putting memorable smiles on her client’s faces.
