F&F aren’t the same as the gestalts. We don’t know what they were up to, but it was probably hilariously profitable and got them banned from both sides.  
I like to think the other unicorns Trixie absorbed were based on G3-did-not-make-the-cut ponies myself.

I just imagined the dragon to be a suitably post-apocalyptic monstrosity.

Assuming Flim and Flam actually invented the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 at all, and hadn’t just conned someone else out of it. (If the situation was really the same in every town like they said, why hadn’t they sold the machine to someone else already?)
 
Anyway, I thought this was a pretty good drawing, but I can understand why some people might not think it is epic enough. I’ll try harder next time.

Yeah, Trixie learned dozens of basic spells and mastered them, while Flim and Flam mastered (or possibly even invented) two very complex spells, Cider Production and Power Vehicle. Most unicorns can only master one basic spell

And Trixie would be about equal or almost as powerful, or at least as skilled. What she lacks in power she more than makes up for in skill and knowledge. If the rainboom had never happened, she might have been considered the most proficient mage of her time. Most unicorns only know one or two spells, levitation and something related to their special talent. Trixie knows dozens. And she knows them well.

I’m not talking about Fallout Equestria, I’ve never read the whole thing. I mean the show proper.
 
Discarding Twilight, because she is some kind of Rainboom mutant, what has been the greatest display of unicorn (not alicorn) magic in the show so far? My opinion would be the magically driven still carrying truck with a fully functional cider maker bolted to the top. Plus, since magic is very mental and study based, Flim and Flam had to work how the individual spells and how to construct it. They’re probably the most powerful normal unicorns we’ve seen so far.

If I remember right, that was the Gestalt Twins. Trixie was somewhere in that area… If only because she could naturally replicate the Stealthbuck spell.

Like I said, I went back and re-read the chapter. Chapter 43. The only thing that indicated to Littlepip that the dragon was cybernetically enhanced was its eyes, which reminded her of Redeye.

You’re talking about the cavern Change Queen threw Twilight in, right? Did she specifically say unicorns or just ponies? It is interesting to note the three magically best unicorns below Twilight (Trixie, Flim and Flam) are all motivated by money.
 
If Sombre only weaponizes one brood of dragons, and those were the greed dragons… Celestia found Spike’s egg after beating Sombre!

But yeah, I still think it was only a single brood that was weaponized. I doubt Sombra created an entire species.
 
There’s definitely some sort of theme with crystals and greedy unicorns, though.

You know Impious, this is so goddamn ironic considering we were just talking about dragons being created as weapons.

It was described that way in a previous chapter. Red Eye basically found him, crippled and dying, and had him rebuilt into a cybernetic siege engine.

I pictured that dragon more like this dragon.

Eh, I went back and re-read the chapter, and it wasn’t immediately apparent that it was a cyber-dragon.

Not fucked up enough. That dragon was pretty much a Frankenstein abomination, covered in metal and oozing with plasma.
