I can confirm that. I may bitch about certain ships, but even I understand not to act high and mighty because one of my ships are “canon.”
Crack ships are some of the most fun ships to ship! ^^
I have a few crack ships in other fandoms, I enjoy shipping them even though they are (in a couple of extreme cases) physically impossible. xD
Nick Confalone recently asked shippers why would they ship characters that have no interactions in canon or something like that. He seems to be confused on non implied and non canon ships.
Here’s a tip; shippers don’t tend to care so much about what’s happening “canonically”, we pair off characters in our heads because we like to imagine them together. If our ship becomes canon (rarely happens), hey, that’s a bonus. I’d say probably 95% of ships at least are not canon, but the people shipping them just don’t care about that. :)
Lol i hope you are ironic or joking. Because Discord is getting canonically together with Fluttershy whether all people on this planet ship it or not. It’s already been decided.

I’m just don’t want things to get too shippy in an image that’s completely shipless.
