It really comes down to 1) our fandom was born on 4-Chan, thus already adding a right wing tendency from day one, and 2) we’ve had to deal with a LOT of shit from the Far Left, so we’re kinda kneejerky over anything like this.
 
I’m not justifying, mind. Just explaining. I too find the downvotes on this innocuous image dumb.

I still think it’s incredibly unfortunate and strangely ironic that this community, of all communities, tends to downvote images like this a lot. And I have seen individual bronies go on homophobic rants before. It’s just a very strange thing to me.

Look, we’re all human beings with different ideas of thinking. Not everyone takes every aspect of a cartoon as some Gospels from a Holy Book.

I find it especially confusing that there are people out there who are bronies, yet at the same time dislike things like this. You watch a show that others make fun of for being a thing made for little girls. I would think this should make you more open minded…
 
To be fair though there’s so many of these with small edits or incorrect imagery that it’s hard to tell if dislikes are coming from people who hate the message or people who hate the cheap edits.
 
Even still I keep getting the feeling there are a lot of people triggered by this, who think of it as an “SJW” type of thing. I just can’t get over how hilariously ironic that is, for this community. Especially considering 99% of the people who bitch about this probably have a lot of lesbian porn in their favorites. Pony or otherwise.

What’s the edit other than the image height?

At least they’re not using pre-S1 assets this time.
