That way of wearing a headscarf is shared among a lot of europeans everywhere and even in summer I see women wearing it with as summer headwear, usually accompanied with sunglasses.
It’s super easy to do. Literally no effort. Just take two adjacent corners and tie it under the chin.

Considering the fact, that her father is more the bookish historian, I wouldn’t be surprised if this more “extrovert” habit is some kind of reflection of her mother. Maybe a subliminal memory? :-)
I noticed that too, but I wanna know more about the origin of her kite interest, this kind of little detail is so satisfying to see, but it’s not enough.
