Do Fluttershy’s parebnts even know she’s alive? She did kinda fall a long way when she got her cutie mark, and since she had serious flying difficulties at that age, it’s not likely she’d be able to get back up on her own. If pegasi are how you say they are, would they have just written her off as a casualty of flight camp?

When we are at it, here are a few other theories:  
Scootaloo’s parents were rich unicorns from Canterlot. Being part of the pure-blood faction, it would have been a great social embarrasment if their offspring would have revealed their unpure heritage. So they gor rid of the ‘evidence’, but through strange circumstances, the ‘mistake’ survived.
 
Scootaloo’s parents were proud pegasi, with a long military history. When they found out their daughter couldn’t fly, they kicked her out. She would have been a black mark in their family’s bloodline.
 
Scootaloo is not a pegasus, but a (mutated) chicken. She hatched from an egg from a flock somewhere outside of ponyville. As a mutation, with her different appearance and above-chicken intelligence, she was shunned by the flock and now seeks integration into pony society. But she can’t deny her true roots.
 
Scootaloo’s parents died when she was young and she was given to an orphanage. Being constantly picked on because she couldn’t fly, she ran away and is now a street urchin in Ponyville.

I mean, seriously. Nobody’s bitching that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are orphans just becasue we’ve never seen their parents either. Even when Rainbow Dash won the Best Young Flyer competition, who was there for her? Not her parents! Not Fluttershy’s parents! Just her friends, because that’s family to a pegasus.

We haven’t seen the parents of ANY pegasi! Pegsi don’t have parents in the Western nuclear family sense. Only two pegasi in the entire show are canonically related (Thunderlane and Rumble) with two others (Cloudchaser and Flitter) who probably, but not definitely, are sisters. Even those two pairs don’t have visible parents.
 
Scootaloo clearly has parents, she didn’t develop from a rock. She came out of a mare’s vagina that was previously impregnated by a stallion’s penis. But pegasi live like Spartans. Their foals are raised in a military collective. Scootaloo is not abnormal in not having any significant interaction with her parents, because that’s normal for a pegasus.

Well, scoots, given that this week’s episode is about you there is a good chance that you’ll get your wish granted.

Damn it Hub. Y’all better give her some parents.

I think I’d want to see Scootaloo’s parents to turn out to be earth ponies, unicorns, or one of each.

We’ve been asking for a Scootaloo episode since last season. Make it good, DHX.

I’m hoping wantfastcars is correct. I quite enjoy her being so anonymous compared to all the other main characters. We know basically nothing about her.

I do like Orphanloo, but I would like to see her parents cause I’m sure she has some.

I hope we get to see her parents, just to see the Orphamloo fanon get crushed.

Honestly, what I expect is that they’ll only show her sleeping (or failing to sleep) at CMC sleepovers.

If she sleeps alone in the clubhouse… biggest suckerpunch in the feels EVER.

Really, how much longer can they avoid it?
