It amazes me people think like this. I agree that, on occasion, the writers and artists might try a little too hard to make a nod to the fandom, but I don’t think they’ve ever gone, or ever will go, so overboard that the show turns to shit. I believe “jumping the shark” is the phrase that applies here. I doubt that will ever happen, and it saddens me that people think little things like a Trixie redemption episode, Lyra and Bonbon standing together, or things like Pinkie saying “Double the fun” in episode 3 make the show awful.
