That alone is quite a lot.
 
And besides, Twilight did actually have a point with Trixie, since she is kind of an ingrate and a bad influence.
 
I like the two of them (Twilight, Starlight) being close.
 
Furthermore, I’d hardly call leaving her with Spike regarding Sunburst abandoning her, and it’s not like she was entirely unjustified in being worried regarding the princesses, because the last time that went wrong…

She wants Starlight to learn and make friends on her own, just like she did.
 
But she still cares for Starlight immensely, almost to a fault as shown in A Royal Problem.

True, But since then Twilight hasn’t really done anything to help Starlight.  
She abandoned her when she went to meet Sunburst, She tried to halt Starlight making friends with Trixie, She didn’t do anything when Starlight made friends with Maud and she certainly didn’t do anything when Starlight reformed the Changlings.  
Plus that whole thing where she didn’t even let Starlight do her first map quest without butting in.  
So yeah, Twilight’s barely done anything to help Starlight, In fact I would say she’s been more of a hinderence.

If not for Twilight, Starlight would still be a dangerous crazy mare though.  
Twilight is just being adorably humble like usual.
