Sweetie Belle was born in Canterlot, and was having what she thought was a normal filly’s life until she suddenly got scooped up by her older sister, Rarity, and was ripped away from her family and friends. at first she was angry and upset with Rarity, and didn’t understand why she was being taken. but after she grew up a little and visited Canterlot later with Rarity while she was on a business trip, she realized how awful her home was and how awfully she was being raised. she didn’t want to be a snobby, stuck up unicorn like everypony else. of course, Rarity was still her stuck-up self, and Sweetie Belle tried to make her realize that, with little success. it would take the Mane 6’s friendship in order to do that.
 
shortly after, she meets the other Cutie Mark Crusaders, Scootaloo and Applebloom. Sweetie was nervous about asking them if she could join, but before she knew it she was in their friend group and considered a member, which made her overjoyed. the group stays together until they hit marehood, and then they begin to scatter and do their own things. as Sweetie Belle grows up, she discovers her cutie mark in singing, and goes on to become a famous artist, getting to meet ponies like Countess Coloratura.
