I think I’m still probably going to like Trixie at the end of this.
 
Why?
 
Because I like one-dimensional asshole characters from this show. If the writers can’t be arsed to give them characterization, I might as well.

It’s going to be like watching a trainwreck.
 
I will swim laps in a pool made out the tears of fanon shippers and “she’s just a misguided soul” supporters like Seth. To the Trixiestorm, I say:

While this anon is not expecting another Luna Eclipsed, I’d give them a little more credit that they won’t forget what went on in s1e04. Hoping that Trixie will learn a lesson about pride, but if that doesn’t happen, no worries, even if she goes full-on villain from start to finish.

She’s gonna be an over-the-top Saturday morning cartoon villain. Basically take all the “playing the narcissism to the max” characterizations of Trixie in fics and double it. I feel they’re going to make her especially unlikable to drive the point of “we don’t stoop down to petty fanservice here”, and likely to “correct” the mischaracterization left open in Boast Busters.
 
And of course, they’ll completely forget one of the lessons fron e04 and just be “she’s evil because she’s evil”.

Thus, the Trixiestorm. No matter what, there is going to be a lot of invalidation of fanon going on during next weeks ep. The fandom’s reaction to that should be quite spectacular.

Is it odd to say I’m much more curious to see the fandom reaction than the episode itself?
 
The people who are like “Wooo! More fanfic fuel” the others who are like “Huh. So that’s what Canon Trixie is like.” and the ones who go “NO MY HEADCANON IS RUINED FOREVER, FUCK YOU HASBRO I QUIT.”
