“It’s the only way, Tia. I understand.” Luna put her hoof reassuringly on her sister’s shoulder and smiled. Celestia embraced the princess of the moon in a tight hug before saying, “I’ll go get him.” She exited the moon-lit garden in search of Thorax, the king of the changelings. Once her sister was out of sight, Luna let out a tired sigh. She thought over what had been going on recently as she gazed up at the stars. King Sombra’s army had taken Filly Delphia nearly a month ago, causing great losses for the Equestrian army. The princesses had gone to the changeling kingdom in hopes of getting help but, despite the willingness of King Thorax, the army refused. They still had some bitterness for the ponies of Equestria and said that they should take care of it themselves. King Thorax, Queen Celestia, and Princess Luna had spent a long time persuading the changelings and finally came to an agreement with them. The changelings would help under two circumstances. First that their kingdom be united with Equestria, and second, that the two countries be joined in matrimony; meaning Thorax marry a royal equestrian. Cadence was married and she was also missing, Twilight was engaged to Flash Sentry, and Celestia was now the queen of Equestria so she had too great a responsibility to her country to get married, so Luna was chosen to marry Thorax to help her country. She was not exactly…unhappy with her decision, but she felt ever so slightly worried. She had never had the experience of slowly falling in love with him. She had never even dated him! What if he ends up being grumpy or lazy? What if we don’t have a happy marriage? He was to propose to her that night and they would marry only a week later (since the changelings would not join Equestria until they were married). “Come on Luna!” She whispered to herself. “You two are friends. You’ll grow to love him…it’ll just take some time. We get along well, we have many of the same interests…I just… never really looked at him in a romantic way, and…he’s about a thousand years younger than I am.” At that moment, she heard hoof steps approaching. She took a deep breath before facing her future husband. As soon as her eyes fell on him, Luna’s heart skipped a beat! King Thorax’s wings glittered like stars in the silver light of the moon. His coat had a strong enough reflection to cast a slight glow of moonlight around him and on the ground below him. His purple orb eyes locked onto Luna’s gaze as he strode majestically forward. Once he was close to her, he bent down on one knee.
 

 
I know that was pretty short but I’m trying to not make them as long as the last version of this story.
