I agree to an extent. Trust me, some of them don’t come out nearly as obvious and nice as I’d have liked.
 
Bonbon I did make with pink and blue but more her mane blue and I also added her body color. Each one I tried to use their coat color as the base color and then either the color of their magic or some other special color for them. For cadence it was blue like her magic. I couldn’t use a light blue as I already used that for pinkie pie and her element of laughter so to avoid confusion. And trust me this isn’t the worst one. Octavia’s grey came out a lot lighter than I expected so her’s almost resembles Rarity’s and then Vinyl’s….don’t get me started on her’s. The red turned almost orange and I wish I added a bit of blue of her mane….it was a mess.
 
Thinking back I guess I should have added a tad bit of yellow. Unfortunately I won’t really get a chance to remake any of these for an unforeseen amount of time due to no longer having access to a glass shop. Maybe during the summer if I’m lucky but still. If I had more time I would have remade a few, this one, Vinyl and MAYBE octavia. That’s really the only true difficulty to the task cause these are surprisingly easier to make than you might think (or at least they are for me since I’ve been glass blowing for over 3 years and these are so easy that it only takes about 15 minutes on average to make one at this size).
 
But yeah, honestly I’d have just added a bit of yellow to this…maybe a tad of that violet too just in case.

These all look really nice, though I feel the character pairings are kind of off on a couple, based on the colour schemes. This one for instance, I immediately associated with Bonbon because of the blue and pink together. I have to admire the idea though, I kinda got what you were going for before I read the descriptions, and I think it’s a neat concept for sure.
 
Princess Cadance, I’d have put some yellow, pink and violet together, with maybe a little speckle of light blue. That said, I have no idea what it takes to make glass like this, I might be proposing a very difficult task.
