Adding speed lines or thunderbolts next to the rainbow could have helped for the Dash part for her name too.
 
Also I’m wondering what this person would have chosen for Spike, Sunset, Starlight, Celestia, Luna, and some of the other characters.

Not bad. However, a few suggestions:
 
Fluttershy: the wings should’ve been animated, a “flutter” effect if you will.  
Pinkie Pie: plain pie with a big pink “E” in the middle.
