Also, confession? I am… a HUGE Sonic dork. I actually had fun with Sonic Forces, looking forward to the movie (good or bad), but also I think the Sonic comics are like legitimately good too (well, everything after the Super Genesis Wave at least lol. That’s all I’ve read)
I don’t think his intention was to upset fans, I think he was just sharing his headcanon, but I’m sure as far as both Sega & Archie are concerned, (and the rest of their staff) it’s not canon at all.
Also, Sally + Geoffrey = Ugh… (I don’t see Sally as that “easy” frankly.)
I don’t think Ken will do anything about said fan series, unless he can profit off it.
I don’t know. He seems like a guy that is all about pissing off the fans. Like earlier this year, he tweeted this.
The one story I couldn’t tell was Sally losing her virginity to Geoffrey. Sonic may be fast, but Geoffrey was faster on the draw in that department.
Who knows, but maybe sense they aren’t profitting off it, Ken will leave ’em alone.
I hope nothing bad happens to them. Sega and Archie wouldn’t care but if it has characters by Ken Penders, I imagine he would start legal problems for them like he killed Archie Sonic with his lawsuits.
Sounds interesting, good luck with it. :)
Yeah, my story however takes place after the reboot, with a few elements of the old world trying to return.
The Archie Sonic series? I think some fans are already trying to do that online, like with the British “Sonic the Comic” fan continuation series.
I’ve actually been planning a story that continues the series in a way.
Indeed… What’s even more annoying is, there were still books that were previewed, but cancelled, due to the comics’ cancellation, and that includes many planned collection/reprint books too.
In fact, I have the first two collection books of the “World’s United” arc, (the second Sonic & Megaman crossover) which have 4 issues in each book, (so roughly the first 8 issues from the Sonic, Sonic Universe, and Megaman comics) but now due to the comics’ cancellation, they cancelled the third reprint book, with the final 4 issues, so now I’ll never have the final part… (Unless I can find the individual issues for sale online.)
Basically the only way you can read these old issues is to either pay a lot of money or pirate them…
And he was only in the original Sonic the Hedgehog comics by Archie Comics Inc. (Also, he got killed off.)
Being an early comic character Sir. Connery didn’t look at all like a Sonic character.
@Beau Skunky
I’ve actually been playing Sonic Adventure 2 Randomiser v4.2.4 where they left in the ability to insta-win stages with a button press.
They do it a different way now, but I liked being able to skip stages I didn’t feel like playing at that moment (e.g. gem hunting with a mech character). It helps that SA2Rando is pretty fun in general.
One li’l downgrade in SA2 I will admit is, in SA1, Knuckles could sense any nearest emerald fragment.
In SA2 he can only sense one at a time, which was a li’l more annoying. (Though, you can still collect the others if you accidentally stumble upon them.)
The only annoying gem hunt was the one with the time limit (because there was a bomb).
I dunno, Knux/Rouge had their fun moments, and the Tails/Eggman mechs I actually enjoyed.
I guess I’m just one of those strange folk that like playing as characters besides Sonic.
Oh oops. My bad about Big. Still, only the Shadow and Sonic parts of SA2 are fun. Between the boring gem hunts and loud, constant beeping the rest is forgettable at best (IMO).
Edited
I liked Sonic Adventure 2. lol
For that matter I actually enjoyed the Shadow spinoff game, despite it’s flaws.
@Einsman
Big the cat was not in SA2.
I actually liked Rouge’s Mad Space stage.
MAAAAAAN, try going back and playing the Big, Knuckles, and Rouge levels again.
how dare you
It wasn’t good, either. Beats Sonic 06, Unleashed, Black Knight, Shadow the Edgehog and Adventure 2 though!
Because SEGA say so.
Crap excuse, but hey, they’re the makers. Their loss.
