Still, her singing about the benefits of being alone while using a freaking army to track the heroes down seems to be… a bit hypocritical on her part. More so since she’s doing it at the order of other being.

Thats different. They are tools used to serve a purpose. Far from friends with any of them. One pony cant subjugate an entire kingdom on her own. But with a army at her command…  
And Grubber is probably SK’s tattle if she were to double cross him. He obviously enjoys his well-fed placement in the hierarchy and would not want to upset the cart in anyway; if anything him running to big boss would get him a even better spot. She probably would love to throw him overboard but looks to have a disconnected ‘tolerance’ of him. Past being annoyed she recognizes that she can’t get rid of him and must deal with it until the plan has come to fruition.

Well, I suppose scores of the Storm Guards she brought along with her (and Grubber) didn’t count…

She’s travelled for years, searching for a cure… after a while, desperation would set in, and she’d be willing to believe anything, happy to jump on the first hint of her goal.
 
Ask a well-fed man to do something horrible for free food. He’ll probably refuse. Starve him for a week then ask him the same question…

For someone who supposedly isn’t naive, it somehow slipped her mind that she naively assumed that Storm King would simply hold his end of the bargain even after she becomes disposable to him.
