Yeah. I imagined Spike would also be one of Starlight’s friends but… it made sense that only mares were allowed to steal Sunburst from her.

The episode looked like a pony dating sim for preschoolers. Lol.

I was surprised by how many genuine shipping moments we got out of this. And when I say genuine I mean “oh they were in a scene together, ship it” but rather “oh hey these two characters share common ground that you could build a possible relationship out of, ship it”

It makes a lot of sense that Sunburst would be into stage magic, since he isn’t able to do much real magic it could be a nice confidence booster.
