Exactly. That is the difference between those kids and the Soviet Union. The Soviet union had principles, and eventually they noticed Communism was not working and decided to quit.
What is “true socialism/communism” then?
These people have no principles, they run on emotions and little to no logic. Because “logic” is all subjective to them.
All they see is the surface material “FREE STUFF!” and not the bigger picture of things.
Nothing in life is free, costs have to come from somewhere.

Don’t get me wrong, I still respect the bravery of Soviet troops during WW2.
I still admire the resilience of the Soviet people and had a fascination of their culture.
I’ll admit that the USSR did make some great contributions to the world mostly science wise, some elements were cool, others outright weird and hilarious.
Perhaps liberals were more friendlier back in the day when they weren’t as drunk on political correctness. I still hold some classical liberal ideals.

Still, they weren’t all rapists nor murderers. Most of them who died died for their country and were forced to fight, their sacrifices should be respected like with any fallen soldiers regardless of which side they served.
Damn. That is horrible. Heck, even though I have violent tendencies and consider violence in retaliation to be reasonable, the idea of murdering billions to achieve world peace is simply insane and monstrous. Violence should never be enacted unless as response to violence, and even then it must not be taken lightly.
I also had extreme hatred towards the United States. It was my dream to live in the Soviet Union or any communist country. I even tried to justify the Red Army’s mass rape and murder of Millions of women and children across Eastern Europe during WW2 by saying “well there were a few hundred or thousand Western troops that raped French women”
The radical/militant atheism within Communism (or any militant atheist really) was also a factor that drove me away from it. They actually believe that systematically murdering Billions is the way to achieve world peace. Then they try to use the evils committed by the religious “Christian” fanatics of the Middle ages as a justification.
