That’s what 30 minute challenges are for: they eventually give you a speed boost :) When I attempted them for the first time few years ago, I could barely finish a simple sketch in 30 minutes, but I continued my struggle, and now I can draw much faster than before. And I think it’s not the drawing speed itself that matters most; these time-limited exercises teach you to do less superfluous movements and make quick decisions.
