Oh no, the creatures in the original rodan caused more chaos and were apt enough to be the star of their own movie, I’m just referring to the one scene in x megaguirus.

I dunno, personally, I kinda found the Meganulon from the ‘56 Rodan scarier. They were just established as this unknown, deadly force and were incredibly hard to kill. Granted, the scene from Godzilla vs. Megaguirus where that Meganulon went slasher movie villain on that couple freaked me out as a kid, today, it came off as too chaotic and we didn’t really see a lot of the Meganulon aside from a few glimpses and jumpy editing. And we only got ONE SCENE of it doing any damage before it became a Meganula.

How about her freaking larva, the Meganula, that enacted out a slasher scene to the poor couple?

Not to mention Megaguirus could be legitimately terrifying at times. Good examples of this? WHENEVER SHE FREAKING SMILED.

Megaguirus shares aspects of a dragonfly (main shape), scorpion (claws), and dinosaurian aspects (head). Megaguirus was also designed as a main character in a movie while Pharynx’s alternate form was something to show up two times in a 20 minute tv show.

Still think Megaguirus has a somewhat better design.

Truth be told, we never did find out what Pharynx was turning into.
