Meh. I still think it’s a false equivalence. You’re comparing what accounts to an art style with the idea of a universe of anthropomorphic ponies. Tell me 3 facts about the Sonic universe which makes it unique.
I would agree on this one. Like I’ve said before many times, I found it rather ironic that bronies are bashing Sonic fans for no reason despite they are doing the same things (recolor Mary Sue OCs, insistent terminologies, ruined FOREVERS!!, and shipping)

Also, to be fair, the artist originally wasn’t trying to be “preachy” to these kinda people, as he says it was just an exaggeration/parody, and it was made years ago before all the recent “Sonic drama” on Derpibooru.

Perhaps, I guess maybe I shouldn’t of. (Especially after realizing it was a dupe.) I guess I was just tired of all the “Sonic drama,” and such on this site, and kinda wanted to show this “pot calling the kettle black” kinda thing. But I guess as you said people will likely not understand, or just deny it.
Maybe rather then merge it with the original image, they could just delete this one, sense it seems to be just bringing drama.
However, I don’t find this as “garbage,” as I think it does have a point, but I guess that people will just ignore that point.

Actually, Shadow hasn’t really been in that many Sonic games lately. (And ironically, Sega originally intended to kill him off in SA2’s ending. but his popularity made them redo that.)
Shadow however seems mostly popular with younger Sonic fans. Older ones seem to hate him with a passion.

Yeah, as the artist said he’s seen lots of bronies who love Sonic, and such. I don’t think all fans are bad either. I just find it ironic when they demonize fans of another series for doing similar things they do.

As I said I’ve seen the same thing done with ponies before to. Plus, let’s face it… Nearly every official Pony or Sonic character are recolors of each other. (Just with different eyes/hair, and such.)
Heck, it could be argued Knuckles is just a red Sonic with boxing gloves, a different tail, dreadlocks, pointier snout, slighty different eyes, and such. Though, there are some more original characters like Nack/Fang the weasel, and Big the cat. (And just ‘cause characters look similar doesn’t mean we still can’t love/enjoy them. Don’t get me wrong.)

In fact, sense I grew up with the old Mario cartoons, I kinda prefer “King Koopa” over “Bowser.” (Bowser is just called “Koopa” in Japan, and the earlier Mario merchandise.)
Deal with it. Plain and simple. It doesn’t fucking matter if there are some idiots who hate the other thing and are pretty vocal about it. They just get worked up over nothing. So are people who complain about these idiotic “fandom wars”, like the creator of this comic here.
As both a Sonic-fan, AND brony, I say why can’t we all just get along regardless what series we like/prefer?
Well, you sure aren’t helping by uploading garbage like this. I get that it tries to make a point (worthless as it is), but it’s pointless because the people it tries to appeal to aren’t exactly reasonable. And these very people only get stirred on by things like that, because they are just assholes like that.

That’s probably the result of laziness and the fact that Shadow exists, since Shadow showed that making a character that looks like Sonic is a-okay.
And he also was insanely popular, too, which is the sole reason why he’s in more games than one.

I just think it’s pretty funny how some people idolize Sonic so much that they’ll create OCs in his image. I can’t think of any pony character which has several OCs based on them unless it was done on purpose.

I’ve seen some that do, and I’ve also seen Sonic OCs like that, as well. Same body-type/shape/design, different hair/eyes/ect.
I honestly have nothing against OCs, I just think it’s odd for people to demonize those who make them, when they do the exact same thing. I even saw a guy with an Eggman-style recolor OC, who was bashing other Sonic fans for making “bad recolor OCs.” (His wasn’t very original either.)

I’ve seen hundreds if not thousands of pony OCs. Apart from the shape of the body most of them don’t look alike.
