Indeed. The raging craziness always withers away eventually, which seems to be the route Twilight opted to go in the end of the episode. :)
Part of the reason why I don’t take the Starlight hate that seriously though is Rarity did get quite a bit of that back in the day herself. That she was terrible, and worst pony, and the series was better off without her.
