My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic just came around at the wrong time for video games. If it was around like 10-15 years ago, then we would have had all kinds of console games (even Mario Kart styled games).
It’s a shame the official MLP game is this outdated freemium style and not a nice adventure platformer, that Wayforward once proposed to Hasbro but they never replied back…

Older versions were great. You could go offline, play dancing games, change date and play again. And later set correct date and go online. I wasn’t banned after it.
By this way usually I was able to get 3 ponies per day because I didn’t wanted to play more.
They changed it later (don’t remember in which version) so changing date don’t work now. Shame.
It’s more efficient to play the dance game. You can get a reliable pony unlock every week there without having to gamble away premium currency.
