(Uhura)to CaptainYeah, pinkie is pretty much the posterpony for mlp, and she’s what the marketing team over at lionsgate think will get little girls attention the most. If the movie staff actually had a say as to how the trailer turned out, we problably would have gotten a much better one. But hey, there’s never only one trailer!
Really? Some of the expressions and dialogue looked kind of wooden to me and there was way too much emphasis on Pinkie and her reactions.

I am neutral on seaponies; hated most of G1 but one has Kristen Chenowith (sp?) as a voice actress and the one for the queen is supposed to be good, so I’m willing. If by Abyssinian you mean Capper, I’m interested in him but not sure he’ll fight. This is the one that seems the most combat-prepared, so this is the only one I have expectations of actually fighting.

YES the ANIMATION will be AMAZING, The VISUALS will be AMAZING, The Famous People in this Movie will be EPIC AND AMAZING! EVERYTHING WILL BE AMAZING, and I thought the lego batman movie would do me as an awesome movie or the cool looking and also a week pior the lego ninjago movie (in which michael péna is also a part of.) But after seeing the trailer I AM GONNA ENJOY THIS.
I don’t know about that, but it’ll still definitely look good.
Honestly, I’m just super hyped with how awesome the animation looks. I know that there’s big names that’ll be voice acting too, and that’s fine, but given my love for animation, they could have literally anyone doing the voice work (within certain exceptions, of course; don’t make it sound bad and all that xD) and I’d still be happy to see this come to the big screen.
I know some of the fandom has been really critical of this animation, for many different reasons, but I really like it and look forward to seeing what it’ll have to offer as far as the realm of Equestria is considered.
Again, I don’t think it’ll be the prettiest thing ever, that’s a hard thing to say, but I definitely think that what I’ve seen thus far looks good / cool / worth-throwing-my-money-at.

I mean, I’m already loving the way the animation pops. At the end of the day, I’ll probably enjoy the movie regardless. I’ll just bitch and moan about nitpicky things after my second and third viewings xD .

Introduce Princesses –> Princesses taken out –> ponies seek help from these pirate things –> pirate things prove themselves –> pirate things get taken out quick in major final conflict.
It’s a possibility. But I’ll hold my breath and hope it doesn’t happen.
It’s always sad when someone gets Worf’d. Even Worf himself was pretty darn badass, which was the entire problem.
Worf was basically the crew’s “token badass character”, so when the writers introduced an enemy and needed a way to show that this new enemy was a legitimate threat, their answer was almost always to have them beat up on poor ol’ Worf.
Still, he had his moments where he could be a true tough guy. It didn’t make up for things entirely, but it helped.
I’m getting off-track though. Seeing as how this is the MLP movie, I doubt that the writers are going to introduce this character, make her a badass, and then use her as a writing tool just to display that an antagonist means business. If anything, they’ll use Princess Celestia or Princess Luna for that.
Oh then no she wont be a worf.
From one of the Star Trek series; was supposed to be decently strong, but always defeated quickly and handily so he could be taken out of the fight whatever Captain he was under could be the hero.
My hope is the character looks decently strong and powerful, so hopefully they don’t just kick her down quickly and take her out of fight scenes quickly.
I’m guessing he means “the person that’s stated to be a badass, but gets beaten by the first bad guy at the first sign of trouble”.
