Sometimes even when we should know what we’re supposed to do or how we’re supposed to act, we still needed to be reminded or pulled back into reality by others.

Read the comments below, sometimes people need to be reminded of what they learned or can learn new things from unexpected sources.
I’m not sure I follow. The specific portrayals of Starlight and Sunset in this scene are largely irrelevant to the point I was making. My point is that there’s no reason that Starlight should be barred from giving advice to someone who clearly needs it.

you’d have a point if it wasn’t pretty obvious this scene exists to make starlight look better it’s not like we see sunset giving her similar advice to establish they’re on even grounds.
Exactly. Even if she isn’t the most upstanding individual in society, Starlight shouldn’t be disallowed from giving advice to assuage a clearly worried Sunset.
Ignorant and rude, I see. Don’t you remember the moral from “Applejack’s Day Off”? Sometimes you still need an outside eye to to be aware of what you’re doing incorrectly.
Figure it out on your own.
(Hee hee hee) the way you worded that makes me snicker
What exactly so agonizing about having a debate with me? I may get stuck in my opinions from time to time, but I always try to remain as civil as possible. Do you really feel that contrary viewpoints are that undeserving of your time?
Meaningless? Look around you. Do you know where you are right now? Anywhere else on the web in any other context perhaps you’d be right. But in a comment section on this particular patch of the internet, It’s the entire point.
Granted, an arguement that boils down to “You suck!” “no, you suck!” Isn’t very exciting to read.
And people arguing over fictional characters, meaningless trifling and polluting the comments section is helpful?
Sometimes they figure it out.

That kind of attitude really isn’t helpful, dude.
No, I just know better than to get in an argument with you.
riiiiiiightttt……
If you grew tired of Sunset, you just might grow tired of Starlight.
Yeah, well, if you don’t see it, you don’t see it. If you want me to explain it, I already did so here . Peace.
Didn’t really feel like that to me, but I felt more like Starlight wasn’t in it that much, the villain was just so underwhelming and non-threatening, and felt boring overall. Wasn’t really amazing that she beat her, really. I honestly think it would have been stronger if they just kept it as a slice of life bonding episode or something. I looked forward to seeing Sunset and Starlight bond, and admittedly I’ve stopped watching the Equestria Girls series because… well they just aren’t written that well in my opinion and I’ve kinda grown tired of Sunset. Odd that I used to be a big fan of her. This special just had all the same problems I’ve come to expect from the Equestria Girls series and it’s why I’ll just skip the rest of ’em.
I don’t think the staff was blatantly trying to aim for that, but that’s admittedly how the whole thing felt.
@Sunset’s Minion
Figures you wouldn’t be interested in having a civil discussion.
