Of course this image has no truth to it. Hopefully OP screwed up when he implied clop is not art. There is way more SFW art here than NSFW. But NSFW gets more upvotes, and that is a shame. Not a shame that people who like porn are so generous, but that people who dislike it are so stingy. It’s not the cloppers who should be blamed at all. They get far too much disrespect for just enjoying what they do.

And deviantart also has no porn and just sfw. It just doesn’t have a like button. Whether this is the truth is debatable.

While sites like deviantart, equestria daily and tumblr focus more on sfw art this is the one site many people come to watch porn and thus notice the other things less especially if there are so many pictures lined up.  
Also derpibooru has some really good nsfw artists whose pictures catch a lot of interest.  
In the grand scheme of things the sfw art is also appreciated but it’s not as obvious.

For giggles, go through either the trending images or the all time top scoring some time and play a little game I call “spot the SFW images.” I bare the porn no ill will and I don’t think less of it for being porn, I just wish people coming to this site would stop and show more appreciation to the other art here more often.

An exaggeration, to be sure, but this is closer to the truth than apparently a lot of people would like to admit. Just try browsing with the images sorted by score, number of upvotes, or number of favorites, in descending order; the effect is much more pronounced if you browse images from any period in the past 3 years or so, showing that porn’s dominance is increasing.

This is definitely not true, while i agree that porn gets alot of attention, so does the sfw stuff.  
hell, i always upvote and download both as long as i like it.

There is so much good pone art on this site but compared to porn they use so few tags for it that it’s hard to find again after its left the front page

That said the audience did experience a shift from clean cartoon lovers towards furries in the past 5 years, or maybe just a general drop in intelligence.

There was a time when discussions were okay but DB moderation has since shifted for the worse, silencing everything in the name of zero tolerance towards anything that could potentially be a risk to “peace”. In other words, be a sheep or get deleted/yelled at. The “use the forums” drive, the “filter or stfu” era, just aims at killing off any possibility of spontaneous intelligent talk.

That seems to be the relationship that many people I talked to have to 4chan.
 
It seemed to me that the “truth” in these pictures were to be understood as a joke. Here it might be misleading because of how serious the picture is presented and something like commentary is more appropriate so I guess it’s ok the way it is.

By “truth”, they don’t mean truth in the philosophical or moral sense. It’s just a label. For example, there’s a picture that says “Scootaloo is best pony” that is marked as “truth”.

This fandom is extremely hostile toward those who aren’t into horse porn, or even aren’t big fans of porn altogether. Say you’re not attracted to horse vaginas and they might even start calling you a “Christian” - the worst insult in their vocabulary.

I meant porn as in everything that has sexual aspects in it so suggestive, too. I assume op means that art is only that which is completely innocent. I think practically everyone is attracted to something that’s just human and here are a lot of people attracted to ponies so there is a high demand to porn. In addition to that porn can fulfill many purposes sfw art has like look beautiful or cute, be funny or tell a story which is why it is generally prefered. I guess that’s bad for the people who can’t stand it.

It’s a shame for non-cloppers like me. I like non-explicit “sexy” ponies, but as soon as you add genitals, the image is ruined, even if it’s a masterpiece otherwise. I’m trying to come around to liking clop since it’s a cornerstone of this fandom, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be completely fine with it. Unfortunately, that’s what gives pony artists fame and fortune.

But pony porn is represented by art…

Unfortunately this is true and artist makes a suggestive image in this site and puts minimum effort. And an artist can spend 3 hours on a normal non suggestive art and get way less than the other idiot. It’s disgusting.
