The cheongasm wasn’t even originally a “Chinese” dress itself. It was brought in by the Manchu invaders who established the Qing Dynasty in the late 1600s.
 
The original type of clothing Chinese have worn before since the beginning of civilization was the hanfu, from which the Japanese kimonos were originally derived from.

The problem is the recent trend of (Government) media propaganda that tends to threat the Japanese as barbarian savages invader even after decades of the end of World War II. For example Chinese movies..  
-Fist of Legend (1994)  
–Japanese portrayed as humanely even though they’re the bad guys.  
-Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen (2010)  
–The prequel of the movie above where Japanese were all totally evil people. Totally 100% evil compared to Chinese people.

Even the Koreans or Taiwanese were never going hardcore like the mainland Chinese.

2.Do you think all Chinese people are blindly hating Japanese national costumes,ignoring the ancient ancestors of their own also wear this costume?
