I do like that you chose a background pony for this, Junebug could get some more attention and I want nothing if not as many background characters brought to the forefront as possible
To be fair, it’s less left field than SugarMac.
They seem to already know each other at least, that & we haven’t seen Junebug since “Secret of My Excess” which feels weird to me.

Really figured they were gonna have Frosted Flake’s and his “eventual showcase that he does his rude things to cover up his insecurities” was gonna net him Sugar Belle so Mac could go back to the farm and keep “Our Town” far away from the Ponyville folks.
Yeah I know but it’s just shipping, people can ship whatever they want, just because something happened in canon doesn’t mean people going to stop their favorite ships. Shining Armor get ship with his sister more then his own wife XD

Big Mac’s often used in straight ships since he’s a guy that would already sort of know the Mane Six, wasn’t a different species, & he’s appeared enough that there’s a good idea of his personality on show.
He was often peoples’ first option for straight shipping.

You keep saying the other ships are died or have no hope, that is not saying it’s going to slow down, that is saying it’s not going to be gone, that there will be no other shipping but the canon one.
Yes, the art of other ships might slow down, but they are still going to be a thing, that was my point, shipping will happen no matter what.
