Sockpuppeting means making additional accounts and pretending to be someone else, especially in commenting systems. Used most often to stir up drama or to back yourself up and make your arguments or comments seem more valid.
I need to start keeping score of how many people think the post/upload anonymously option completely hides who they are. It’s amusing.
