What if applying telekinesis to an object already in somepony else’s telekinesis will apply part of the force to their horn?
We’ve seen Rarity’s horn drag her. I can see certain forms of magic affecting the sender like a tractor beam.
well, starlight has a reason to pull, since the bag is phyqsicaly atached to her (as far as i know)
but trixie dosent, unless, as you say, newtons third law affects meegic
Judging by the animation on both of them and how they are shaking, they are very much being “pulled back” by the object they’re trying to pull. Maybe Newton’s Third Law is still in effect regarding levitation. Perhaps a physical connection is indeed made.
It’s possible to “fake” pulling strain, but you have to consciously do it, and these two have no reason to do so.

Same reason why console gamers in TV commercials are very animated when it comes to sport/competitive games.
I’ve been waiting for a scene where Twilight Sparkle and Rarity do this with Spike. At least now I have an idea what that’d look like.

I think the first time two auras disputing the same object, yes.
On pinkie pride, rarity and twilight both helped hold a banner, and the auras merged similar to this. Not sure if this is the first exemple of magic auras grabbing the same object, but it’s the earliest I remember.
