That's your single opinion many disagree with you she was intimidating and interesting, the same way you think Starlight is somehow interesting it's just your opinion not a fact as I can easily explain why she's not and why she's a terrible character but she still has fans who think otherwise it comes down to personal taste, so your opinion does not equal fact.
Taking control gives the changelings free reign to feed for as long as they want, what did you seriously think they were going to show up eat some love then just leave? Of course not they were going to take over and keep their food source and gain a safe point outside of their hive.
