Rarity brushed her luminescent purple curls out of her sapphire blue eyes and smiled gently. “Lovely darling,” she replied. “I just have 3 more to go, in fact. I can’t wait for the Summer Sun Celebration! And I have the most gorgeous outfits ready for us!” The marshmallow mare beamed with delight.
 
Applejack’s apple green eyes darted around, as if pondering something. “So… I hear there’s some other fancy gathering comin’ up soon?” Applejack asked.
 
“A gathering you say?!” Rarity exclaimed with delight.
 
“Well, yeah maybe we should go. Ah was thinkin’ maybe I can sell out some of our best Apple Fritters aga~~”
 
Before Applejack could continue her sentence any further, Rarity bounced up to her with a filly-like glee in her eyes. “WHY OF COURSE WE ARE GOING, DARLING! But… One little itsy bitsy teensy tinyyyy thing needs to be fixed first…”
 
“And what exactly is that supposed ta mean?” Applejack questioned in a notably stern voice.
 
Rarity coughed silently. “Ehmmm. Erhmmm. Well… Umm… No offense dear, but the way you look simply won’t do. If one is to go to such a gathering, they must be looking their absolute best! Now come along Applejack, we have to make you look for the occasion.”
 
Applejack huffed. “Now listen here! You know as well as I do that I don~~
 
“Hush now darling, no time to waste! First, your mane, then the best part… THE SPA! Eeeeee!” Rarity fangirled on the ground with glee and went to work on Applejack’s mane with her hooves. She knew one day that strategy her grandmother taught her for untangling stubborn, especially sweaty manes would someday come in handy.
