Ehh, I never really liked the Matrix, my friends oversold it to me, so when I finally did get around to it, it felt standard. The only line I really remember was the Red Pill Blue Pill spiel form Morpheus, and “If we knew what we were getting into, we would have told you to shove that red pill up your ass!”
 
Back to the main point, in order for the comics to make me think that they aren’t the worst, they have a lot to do. One good action does not make me think Trump is a good President, just as one really good comic does not erase the crap IDW has churned out.
 
In my opinion, IDW suffers from “Cool Premise Syndrome”, their premises are cool but they get executed poorly. Ponies of Dark water and Reflections, Chaos Theory, Return of Chrysalis, and especially Siege of the Crystal Empire are good examples. You might think, “Well, if they’re so bad, then why read them?”
 
Because I desperately want to like them. It’s like I’m insane, I read a preview, get hyped, and then get let down, only to let myself get hyped again because for all I know, comic X is when they hit their stride, comic X will be the start of Season 4, my fave season. Now some comics are kinda good, but nothing that is “Wow this was the best!” or “Wow, this is so much better than I thought it was going to be!”
 
Normally it’s a “that happened”. The things that should be grand arcs, what should be strong points, fall flat one huge notes.

Have you ever watched “The Matrix”? I was referencing that. It was perfect, to reference this movie to express that this might be the first step for you to realize that the comics aren’t what you think they are.

I like the art style. Don’t care what anyone says. I guess I just wanna balance out the Fosgitt-hate by saying that, even though I’m kinda repeating myself .  
(Honestly, if every artist on the comic drew like Lauren Faust or Andy Price, I’d get bored of the art, as much as I like their works.)
 
I even liked Celestia’s ugly-cute adorkable pony disguise design. It’s actually more original then people always giving her not-so-subtle disguises in fanfics with names like “Sunny.”

This was a fun little story to read. I loved it more than the Accord arc.

The lava demons from G1 achieving flight and disguising themselves as the sun in the process? I want THAT story.

OK Comic wasted with terrible artstyle. Also we will probably never going to see Celestia episode once they gave us THIS.

As much as I enjoyed the comic I was really hoping they would do a episode with a similar premise and this pretty much dashes any hope of that happening.

First IDW comic in a while that I liked. Even Jay’s style was somewhat nice/tolerable. I feel dirty for saying this XD

It’s not possible. IDW is the worst form of MLP content, yet, they’re the first to make a Celestia and Discord interaction, and not only that, they make it actually good. IF they didn’t use that art style, for me, it would have been perfect. How? Why? IDW, WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?
