I do like the comic, but that's not something I'm sure about anymore. Blueblood was shown to be observant and charming when he wants to be but a total ass at any other point. Like it's an on/off switch. So, either he's flip flopping between skilled negotiator and buffoon, or he's such a shallow jerk he doesn't think paying attention to others isn't worth it unless they do something for you.
