Yeah. The theory is that moonlight tends to be blue, and since nocturnal predators could find you more easily during a full moon people have an instinctual fear response when the moon is waxing gibbous, full, and waning gibbous, and this apparently led to us seeing anything lit predominately in blue (especially with large, deep shadows that could conceal predators) to be scary. This is also supposedly what makes people more agitated around the full moon, because they’ve got an instinctual defensive fear response impeding their sleep and making them jumpy and paranoid during the daylight hours.
