I’m reminded of something that happened about a decade ago. Dad had stopped for gas, and the tape was playing Sons of Somerland, which has a lot of harp music, so I played some air harp while I was singing along.

The cashier in the station apparently had never seen air harp, so they asked dad if I was autistic. We had a bit of a laugh about that.

(Then in 10th grade, I tested positive for Asperger’s Syndrome, which was later reclassed as “high-functioning autism.” So I guess the cashier was right after all!)
