These are the Dawn Crusaders, a fringe rebel group who broke away from the Dawn Knights in disagreement over Princess Celestia’s decision to allow the vampires to be citizens of Equestria thanks to The Second Congregation of the New Moon Treaty. The main difference is that the Dawn Knights answer to Princess Celestia and go after rogue or criminal vampires. The Dawn Crusaders do not follow Princess Celestia and see every Vampire as evil no matter what. They are wanted both by Vampires and Dawn Knights as terrorists and a hate organization and work together to stop their efforts to hurt or kill vampires.
