Season 6 was bad for Twilight. A character we’ve all known and love and stuck with for six years reduced to a minor character and her years worth of character development thrown out the window in “No Second Prances” and “To Where and Back Again.” This show is about Twilight and her friends.” The Mane Six getting captured off-screen and her being out of character in these 2 episodes and all the other episodes has her like her Season 1 self… Season 7 better clean their crap they made with Twilight…

Yes, it was off screen. So what? Having it happen on screen would have defeated the point of the episode. The changelings are capable of being ANYONE. All it would’ve taken to catch someone not expecting a changeling attack would’ve been waiting for everyone to be alone and appearing as someone they cared about. “Follow the emergency” would even work on Celestia, if she thought it was Luna. With a large enough army, the changelings could overthrow Equestria in an hour. Chrysalis herself said she wasn’t messing around this time.
The ONLY reason people are so upset is because they don’t like Starlight Glimmer stealing the spotlight. News flash, guys. Starlight exists for the same reason Raiden replaced Solid Snake; treating a veteran like they’re an idiot for the sake of plot is far and away worse than just introducing someone new. And arguably nobody needs a lesson in friendship like a villain trying to turn over a new leaf.
Discord was a d**k in that episode…
Culmination? All I saw was another Celestia, but with Twilight from Season 1, to be honest…
Twilight yelled at her friends just like she did at the royal wedding

Judging by the description I think it’s because she was promoting herself to be Starlight’s friend to go either to the Sunset Festival & was jealous of Trixie being selected rather than her. Plus since she’s an Alicorn with POWERFUL magic, shouldn’t she have been able to defeat the Changelings that captured her? Plus her being captured off-screen was kinda’ weak…
