In an alternate universe, when the Sonic Rainboom occurred, it not only unlocked Fluttershy’s ability to communicate with animals, but some mysterious powers from a negative matter universe. Naturally, this attracted the attention of Princess Celestia, who brought Fluttershy under her wing as one of her personal students. Unfortunately in this world, the three tribes are not as tolerant of each other as they are in the MLP world we are used to. Knowing that the other students at the School for Gifted Unicorns would balk at the thought of a pegasus studying among their number, Fluttershy’s lessons were done privately at night. By day, Fluttershy became the caretaker of the Royal Menagerie and groundskeeper of the school. Following stuck-up, opinionated unicorn brats around with a broom for a number of years taught her a number of things… she hears their conversations, knows who is dating whom, and serves as Celestia’s eyes and ears. For now, she is humble, quiet, shy, and in control of the dark powers that want nothing more than to turn her into the very opposite. The day will come when someone will go too far, and woe unto them…
