That’s my favorite lyrical Sonic song lol.
I remember seeing some retro Sonic fans bashing them, and stating all Sonic music should just be 16-bit synths.
I love retro-games, (especially NES) but many retro-Sonic-fans/purists are obsessive with the original Sonic games on an annoying level. I remember one complaining about Sonic 4 “not looking like the old games enough,” then later that same person complained about it having a level that looked like the Metropolis Zone from Sonic 2 claiming it was “ripping off the old games.” (Wait, I thought that’s what he wanted?)

I quite like him, and I kinda grew up on the Genesis games (although the first Sega console I actually owned was the Dreamcast) and this pic is pretty cool. I have Live and Learn playing in my mind for whatever final boss they’re fighting.
Already pointed that out. Too tired to find a good “You’re too slow” image.

Give it time,(has 2 now) not to mention the internetz hate Shadow more then Sonic.
Yet, he’s still popular with younger Sonic fans.
