I am not happy with how this one came out, but it did help me out with a few things, like some basic modifications in MS paint, and turning my scanners brightness down to help make it look darker.
but trying to get the sort of shadowy and immitial nature of the tantibus didnt work out, and I intended to give it a more aggressive, predetory pose. here it looks like its trying to tuck her in or something.
or maybe its just sick of its job. yeah, lets go with that
i totally forgot that the tantibus had a horn, and there was no differentiation between the mane and body.
but thanks for the tips and kind words :)
If you were to draw this again, perhaps bringing the head and neck down and lifting the ‘shoulders’ further might help give a better sense of a predatory creature.
That said, I do agree that it doesn’t really give the impression of the Tantibus. Before reading the description, I assumed it was more of a generic ‘shadow creature’ or a sort of ‘living darkness/shadow’ given a predatory form (along the lines of what Scribblepwn3 described). Regardless, you still did a really good job on this!
well at least I got the message accross… for better or worse :)
“Who’s a good ethierial psy predetor? you are! yes you are!”
The shadows come to life sometimes. Whispering the past into our minds and reminding us of all we regret.
