I have no issue with other people’s headcanon. I take issue with claiming headcanon as canon i.e. “Actually, when Celestia and Luna’s parents had them, there was a similar situation…” You stated this as fact. That is why I get tweeked about it =P

o.O I’m fairly certain there would be a giant shit-storm over such a thing, so don’t go saying your headcanon is law. Because personally, I have the idea that while possible, well, there are only 5 alicorns in existance(ignoring Sunset because I have no idea where she sits) so the odds are incredibly stacked against anyone reaching that level. Could a male become an alicorn? I say yes. And I’m of the mind that Celestia and Luna would be throwing a party if such a thing happened. And I don’t think they’d be the only ones. I mean if Celestia’s the paragon of female beauty, a male would be considered an Adonis.

Obviously the 3rd one, that way you are still the mother of a princess.
