Okay, I know this is completely tangential to the story, but may I point out that showing an Equestrian fast-food stand using a hotdog roller to roast carrots is freakin’ genius?

well you just need to cook it slower; Carrots slow cooked in oil in a pan tend to be just as soft as boiled ones (and I’d assume they’d brush their carrots with butter or oil before cooking them to keep them moist and avoid drying out)
I would’ve used a boiled carrot instead maybe to make it a bit more softer & hotdog-like.
Whats to make? its just a baked carrot on a bun. People have probably eaten that already IRL without pony prompting :p
We know how it’ll taste, its just a cooked carrot on bread with mustard or ketchup, you can probably envision the taste pretty accurately without even tasting it.
Yeah, that’s what I figured that was too.
Kind of like a bratwurst to a hotdog is a turnip to a carrotdog
nor is a ‘healthy corn dog’ a half cob on a bun.
