A question arises. Does Nightmare feel love? Luna certainly does, but does Nightmare Moon’s presence on her block out Luna’s love for others, especially her sister?  
Another is the fact that Chrysalis is actually INSANELY durable. A blast that destroyed a castle wall didn’t harm her at all, physically, and she and her changelings were banished to the belly of a volcano for a while, which is PRETTY HOT.
 
Either way, it’s gonna be a uphill battle of N.M, because Chrysalis can kill if she gets a hold of love (she can and has drained her foes dry), and digesting or crushing her will not be possible.
