It was Twilight’s birthday and the she decided to have a Beetlejuice themed party after reading the book not to long ago. Her favorite character of the book is a earth pony by the name of Lydia who always seems to be interested about learning new things about bugs, animals, etc.
 
Lydia’s best friend is the ghost unicorn named Beetlejuice, who uses his powers to annoy his neighbors and play pranks. He also enjoys eating beetles, as his name would imply.
 
As Twilight’s party was now in full swing with her friends dressed as other ghosts from the book, she was currently dressed as Lydia and headed over to the punch bowl when she felt something slither up her body. She looked down and almost screamed in surprise from what she saw: a black and white striped snake was crawling up her. She soon relaxed as she knew it had to be Discord, as only he could pull of being Beetlejuice.
 
“DJ,” she said, calling him Discord Juice for the night or DJ for short, “what in Equestria are you doing as a snake? You’re gonna give everyone quite a fright if you don’t revert back.”
 
“I wanted to give you something.” he spoke as his snake head turned into a red covered present with a black bow on the top. “Happy birthday, Twilight. You may now open my present head.” he spoke with a smile.
 
“Ok then, DJ.” she smiled as she used her magic to pull of the black bow and open up Discord’s present head.
 
Inside laid a spider brooch, like the one Lydia wore in the book. Twilight picked up the brooch and clipped her to her outfit. “It’s lovely, Discord. Thank you.” She said with a smile as his head turned back into that of a snake’s.
 
“Not a problem, my dear.” he said with a smirk as his brooch would give her a little surprise later in the evening.
 
This is my own birthday present to myself (today is my 17th birthday! :cake:) and I decree that Twilight shares my b-day as well! Twilight will make sure Discord does something to make up for the enchanted spider brooch he gave her.
