Well there was a leaked song list and the final song is “Friendship ignite” (two versions, one by gloriosa and one by the mane six), so given how the wings have a fire look in the toys its highly possible its just a visual thing that happens in the climax like them turning into crystal ponies at the end of the crystal empire.
