Very true. But depending on the style/fabric, it’s not too bad. Plus panties tend to have nicer, softer materials and more interesting designs.
It’s all preference though. People should wear what they find comfortable and enjoyable to wear.

Male underwear is made so there’s proper room for a penis; female underwear is not.
A male wearing female underwear might feel it being a tad bit tight.
But you could go with one step larger to make more room.
