Description

Luna Notes:
Lulamoon is a mare who prefers to go by her stage name “Trixie”. That alone should give you a fair idea of personality. Though for the sake of thoroughness, I shall elaborate; “Trixie” is loud, obnoxious, and a braggart. In spite of this, she is also competent.
I was unable to extract Lulamoon’s origins for her, as she avoided answering such questions completely. I suspect she has noble heritage, albeit distant, but further research will be required to be conclusive. She does, none the less, seem comfortable in the presence in both the high-born and commoners, and is equally able to rouse excitement from them.
Indeed, that is her primary occupation; an entertainer. Lulamoon tells great stories of her adventures into the wild and unknown, and of her daring and cunning feats as she defeats eldritch monsters in the pursuit of glory and gold. These stories are quite obviously fake, but they’re told well enough. In fact, Trixie enhances such stories with some of the most elaborate illusions I’ve ever seen; constructing whole sets with multiple “actors” to facilitate her charades.
It is this talent that I am most interested in. Such mastery over illusion magic would be invaluable to party, either shrouding them from harm or sowing confusion among the enemy. I imagine Trixie could do both, Simultaneously.
However, Lulamoon’s flights of fancy and flair for the cinematic seem to be her default state. I am concerned with her ability to coordinate in practical terms with a group. I also believe that she cause conflict in any scenario in which she wasn’t “The Star”, as her desire to be the center of adulation seems overwhelming.
With this in mind, I cannot in good faith recommend Trixie Lulamoon for the Quest of Harmony. If she could be restrained, and given a more practical mindset she could be invaluable ally. But as is, she is simply unreliable.
Adventuring is Magic! Trixie Lulamoon.
Trixie in this canon is definitely more capable than she was shown to be in the show, but I much prefer her this way. This was also probably one of the funnest outfits to design and draw yet.

Am I the only one who thinks that Trixie is related to Starswirl the Bearded?

I’ve also seen this done by other anthro artists to make a hand ‘hooflike’. It works a lot better IMHO than when a biped is given full hooves for hands and yet can manipulate tools as well as someone with a full set of fingers.

I really loved this picture, and think the artist is really good, but the fact she seems to only have two clubbed fingers on each hand is somewhat frightening!
