it’s a cycle. kinda like hazing (“if i survived it, then the new gen/recruits can too”), DT just broke the cycle.
At least Diamond Tiara has the excuse of being a filly and thus not knowing that what her mother is doing to her is wrong. Spoiled, assuming she was on the recieveing end of the treatment she inflicted on Diamond, has no excuse. If you are the victim and you inflict the same suffering on someone else, you’re just as bad as the one who was abusing you.
it’s usually a mix of that ain’t it? bad parenting because of neglect or actual abuse leads to the child being messed up.
you can have a totally good parent but if they don’t discipline the child, the child becomes a problem one and it’s still the parents fault.
unless it’s one of those “i’m totally a spawn of the devil so no amount of parenting can fix me because i’m supernaturally evil”
some take too long to learn that lesson, others too soon and do something about it, others don’t.
just saying if people blame her for DT’s previous characterization, why are people saying she’s that all her life (where did it that attitude come from?)
